This is great. Twitter has just released a new “Follow Me” button for companies to add to their websites. This new button allows users to simply click the button and immediately begin following the company whose page they are on.
Before, you could have Twitter buttons on your site, but it would take you to their Twitter page, where you could then “follow” them. This will allow you to follow them without leaving that website. It’s got to be much easier and simpler.
“For publishers and brands, adding the Follow Button to your Website and using Twitter to stay connected with your audience is a powerful combination,” Twitter said in a blog post. “People who follow your account are much more likely to retweet and engage with your Tweets, and to repeatedly visit your website.”
