After airlines offered passengers free in-flight Wi-Fi over the holidays, there is another promotion coming down the pike. Specifically, these airlines are going to offer free in-flight Facebook for the month of February.
Various airlines are partnering with Gogo Inflight Internet to make Facebook available to their passengers. These airlines include American Airlines, AirTran, Alaska Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, US Airways and Virgin America.
Facebook will be free, but full Wi-Fi access will cost about $4.95. Some airlines get up to $13 or so for longer flights. Just another way to bang the passengers at every turn. First, bags cost money to check and now they are getting us for internet.
Would one airline be smart enough to just offer free Wi-Fi and promote the heck out of it, just like SouthWest does with their free bags? Call us crazy.
