It’s always exciting/scary when a new version of WordPress is released. On one hand, you can’t wait to upgrade and see what new features you have. On the other hand, you worry that the upgrade will have bugs and/or won’t work with what you are currently running.
All that said, we went ahead and installed the latest version of WordPress to come available, version 3.0.2.
This is one is highly recommended as it is fixes an important hole in security. It was a flaw that allowed Author-level users much more access than they were supposed to have. So that’s huge, especially if you have a lot of people contributing to your site. They were made Authors and not Admins for a reason.
So, we think it’s safe to go ahead and upgrade to the newest version of WordPress. Check it out and let us know what you think.
