We aren’t exactly sure what this says about our society, but it is what it is. As of this posting, Lady Gaga has 5,725,109 followers (could be 5,725,110 if we decide to follow her too), making her the most followed person on the popular micro-blogging site.
That is pretty unreal. She has more followers than Britney Spears, more than Barack Obama, more than….well….everyone.
You can see that it didn’t take long for her to tape her acceptance speech for YouTube. She is definitely, um…weird.
And she’s also definitely rich. Forbes magazine estimated that she made $62 million between June 2009 and June 2010. Wow. That’s insane. Even if she is just a fad, she’s set for life.
