TicketSocket in BND

TicketSocket in BND

Tweet Who would know more about the business of events and their importance to companies than perhaps the most forward-thinking, white-label ticketing company? Probably not too many. And Business News Daily apparently agrees, as they quoted TicketSocket CEO Mark Miller in their article on corporate events and why they are still very important to organizations. You can read it right here.

UITP quoted in Philadelphia Inquirer

Tweet When it comes to global public transportation, there might not be a more knowledgeable entity than the UITP. As the International Association of Public Transportation they are extremely well plugged into the latest trends in urban transport. On Saturday, the Philadelphia Inquirer spoke to regional manager Andrew Bata about the Northeast Corridor. Not only did it run in Saturday’s paper, it was the top story above the fold! I was pretty excited about that! You can read the full story here

Work for free? (video)

Work for free? (video)

Tweet This video is pretty hilarious. This is what happens when an advertising agency documents the responses of other types of business owners when they are asked about working for free. We’re all too familiar with people asking us to get them media placements and then paying us afterwards. Nah, no thanks. The Youtube description: Architects don’t give away their blueprints. Diners don’t fork out free meals. Personal Trainers don’t sign over their intellectual property on spec. This video pokes fun at the speculative creative bidding process in new business pitches. We believe there’s a better way for agencies and […]

Bid4Assets on SeattlePI.com

Bid4Assets on SeattlePI.com

Tweet Seattle used to be a two-newspaper city. The Seattle Times and the Post Intelligencer were around for a very long time, until the Post Intelligencer went entirely online about seven years ago. Now SeattlePI.com, the transition to online has gone very well. They have an Alexa rank of 6,750, which is incredibly high for a local outlet. So, it was nice to get some coverage for Bid4Assets.com on Tuesday on King County’s first-ever online tax-foreclosure auction: Bargain hunters will have the chance to bid on more than 100 properties in King County’s annual tax-foreclosed property sale. And forget the […]

Bid4Assets on KIMA-TV

Tweet Bid4Assets.com is a leading website that allows counties around the United States to hold their tax-foreclosure auctions online. Previously, you’d be basically shouting on the county courthouse steps in order to bid on these properties, which meant you also had to be local. Now, you can bid from anywhere. And their latest auction is going to be in Yakima County, WA on December 7th. So, we’ve been going after local press to let the good folks of Yakima know about this. We got a great response from KIMA-TV, the local CBS affiliate. They did a great piece on the […]

Our parents don’t know what we do?

Our parents don’t know what we do?

Tweet This is pretty funny and probably true. It’s an inside joke amongst public relations professionals that our parents don’t really understand PR or know what we do for a living. In the case of Lindsey and myself, our folks actually do. I have them set their DVRs when I get a client on television, so I’ve basically made them understand. But, a recent survey of 1,000 PR pros found that 72% said that their parents don’t know what they do, nor do they understand public relations. It’s not that crazy to think, as we’ve spoken to many, many high-level, […]
